What about adults texting while driving?

I drive my children to school each morning. We always get there with a few minutes to kill, so we park in a spot where we see the teachers driving in to work. One morning, I was really amazed at what I saw. First, I saw one teacher driving in while talking on her cell phone. A few more go by with not much excitement. Then, another with the phone to the ear. By the time school buses were unloading, I had counted seven teachers talking on their cell phones. That is what really got me thinking. All across America, we are talking about teenagers driving with their cell phones. Whether it is talking or texting, it's a distraction. So, why are we just targeting teenagers? I know I have occassionally seen people talking on their phones while I have been driving around, but seeing seven in a ten minute period made me see the hidden truth. What makes it okay for grown ups? Is that call very important to you? Is someone hurt or in danger? Or is that teacher just saying "good morning" to her honey? I do have my phone with me at all times and I have had to use it- I had a flat tire on a country road in February of this year. I was so glad I had it! I can honestly say, however that I don't use it while I am driving.I have just always felt that it was wrong, especially now that my 14 year old is in the car, I need to set a good example. She will be driving soon enough. I think all parents need to set good examples for their kids and make it a rule in the WHOLE house about not using cell phones in cars until they STOP.
